1st Coaching Loss

Okay! so much for my streak! hehe. The 1st quarter, we were down by a few points, maybe 7. That’s because some of my teammates came late. Grrr…. I hate these kind of people. By 2nd quarter, we were tied with Trifecta. Im pretty sure we could handle them. By 3rd quarter, they were leading by 7 points (I think).  I was having doubts whether I’m doing a bad rotation so we tried a new one by 4th quarter. The lead of Trifecta grew larger and reached 14 pts but at the last 4 minutes, they were in the penalty and we sunk in all our free throws so their lead was cut to 6.  At 1 minute and 30 seconds remaining, their lead was still about 6 points but their fouls kept our scores close until we cut the lead to a 94-93 score in the last 9 seconds. It was our ball possession and its an inbound. The pass outside was too high and the other team was able to make the steal and convert. The score is 96-93 Trifecta and 3 seconds remaining. At inbound, Zoilo got the ball , dribbled it half court and threw a long one. The ball didn’t go in and we lost. Crap! *sigh* Though I’m pretty happy with how we played, I still wish we could have won that game because we know we can do it. It’s that close! Aaarrrghhhh…  Next game, Im sure we can beat the hell out of our opponents.

    Ah! The joys and pains of coaching!

    Here’s an unsolicited advice. Do not tolerate late comers especially if they do not have a good excuse. Work, study and pre-approved family activities are the only excuse I accept. Beyond that, they will sit on the bench longer than usual even if they are supposedly the stars of the team. =) Being a bad guy sometimes help discipline a team.. Or am I just a control freak? Hahaha!

    hehe onga eh… well, nagagawa ko naman gusto ko gawin sa kanila hehehe… kung nagiging pasaway sila sa loob, tanggal sa laro muna hehe.. yung re: naman sa late, hmmm hindi ko alam pano ko pa gagawin yun pero one time i’ll try to make that disciplinary method hehe….
